The Right Revd Canon Dennis Beevers OSP

Bishop Beevers was appointed an honorary Canon of the OCCE in November 2006 and became a member of the Bishop's Council, a Canon (proper) and appointed Vicar General for the North & Scotland in January 2007. Bishop Beevers was Consecrated Bishop of Dunstanburgh on July 8th 2007 and is also Parish Priest of the Mission Parish of St Maria Goretti, Barnsley.

Bishop Beevers is also Episcopal Vicar for the following Offices of the Archdiocese:

PASTORAL SERVICES: all matters pertaining to the delivery of pastoral ministry within the Archdiocese; the coordination of pastoral provision (to places without a priest), the dissemination of information and policy pertaining to the application of pastoral ministry.

LAY MINISTRY: all matters concerning the involvement of the laity in the service of the Church; the recruitment and training of lay ministers to both licensed and certificated roles, the appointment and placement of lay ministers in parishes and missions.

LAY FORMATION: all matters concerning the ongoing spiritual and educational formation of lay people within the Church; the provision and coordination of retreats, study groups and other events for the laity to be developed spiritually as the Faithful.

CATECHUMENATE: all matters pertaining to the preparation of young and mature adults for reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation and reception into the Church; the recruitment and training of Parish Catechists and the development and dissemination of resource materials, policy and Archdiocesan events.

YOUTH MINISTRY: all matters pertaining to the Church's outreach to the young, coordination of Youth Groups and services, the recruitment and training of Youth Workers; also contributing to Child Protection policy and implementation within the Archdiocese.
